Soil4Climate support has enabled training in Holistic Planned Grazing from the Mara Training Center in Western Kenya, construction of a modern corral and catchment dam, animal purchases including cows and goats, and hay relief for the recent and historic drought.
Soil4Climate support has enabled food relief for grazers in the Emboreet village whose animals were dying during the recent drought in East Africa.
Geoffrey Ouma of the Mabinju Power House Youth Group in Asembo Bay (of Siaya County) in Western Kenya. Mabinju Power House provides agroforestry and silvopasture training and support for up to 50 homes of mostly Luo people. Soil4Climate support has helped with the purchase of a dairy cow and agroforestry supplies. The dairy cow is now producing 4 liters of milk per day. Supplies have included planting bags and watering cans.
Hope Ministries works small scale farmers to boost their livelihoods through improved grazing and agroforestry practices. It's efforts benefit approximately 3000 individuals in 250 homes. Support from Soil4Climate enabled distribution of agroforestry seedlings and related materials, such as shovels and watering cans.
